Program Description

Join internationally recognized ILD experts Steven D. Nathan, MD, FCCP; Kevin R. Flaherty, MD; and Ayodeji Adegunsoye, MD, FCCP for an interactive exploration of the evolving landscape of fibrotic interstitial lung diseases (ILDs).

ILDs comprise a heterogeneous group of disorders characterized by progressive fibrosis, substantial symptom burden, and highly variable clinical trajectories. Despite important advances in antifibrotic therapy and a growing understanding of disease behavior, many patients continue to experience delayed diagnosis, treatment interruptions, and suboptimal access to multidisciplinary care. At the same time, emerging insights into pulmonary vascular involvement, precision medicine, genetic risk factors, and novel therapeutic approaches are reshaping how clinicians evaluate, monitor, and manage patients across the ILD spectrum.

Through expert discussion, real-world cases, and audience polling, this interactive symposium will examine the clinical decisions that matter most across the patient journey. Faculty will share practical approaches to reducing diagnostic delays, recognizing disease progression, optimizing treatment persistence, addressing health disparities, and integrating emerging therapies into clinical practice.
