Program Description

Severe asthma is associated with substantial morbidity, recurrent exacerbations, and significant treatment burden despite available therapies. For many patients with Type 2 inflammation, including eosinophilic phenotypes, targeted biologic therapies have transformed the treatment landscape. Continued advances, including biologic options with extended dosing intervals, are introducing new considerations for individualized treatment selection, treatment burden, adherence, and long-term disease control.

In this CME lunch symposium and live online broadcast, an expert panel of pulmonologists and allergists will use case-based discussion to examine practical challenges in severe asthma management. Panelists will explore treatment selection and reassessment, shared decision-making, long-term disease control, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the impact of comorbidities and access barriers on patient outcomes.
