A Sunday morning panel chaired by Nathan Nowalk, MD, will review evidence and recommendations for shift workers, travelers with jet lag, and health care professionals who routinely experience circadian rhythm interruption.

Investigators will share insights from clinically impactful and practice-changing research during four special sessions presented by the journal CHEST® and Editor in Chief, Peter Mazzone, MD, MPH, FCCP.

Panelists will challenge each other on controversial topics in chest medicine during an entertaining and educational game show format hosted by David Schulman, MD, MPH, FCCP.

Experts, including Ghada Bourjeily, MD, FCCP, will address the role of sex and gender in disease and optimizing care for female patients.

Physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) will brainstorm the best ways to leverage the expertise of APPs to enhance ICU operations over the course of three discussions, chaired by Susan Stempek, MBA, MMSc, PA-C, FCCP.

Soothing massages, healthy food demonstrations, and mindful meditation sessions at the convention center will provide a respite amid the bustling meeting.

Special presentations will demonstrate the power of sharing stories as a health care professional and give attendees a chance to reflect on their experiences, said Session Chair, Abhishek Bhardwaj, MD.

Presenters will reinforce the importance of wider and more effective lung cancer screening implementation, said Curriculum Group Co-Chair, George Z. Cheng, MD, PhD, FCCP.

Expert faculty, including Tejaswini Kulkarni, MD, MBBS, FCCP, will cover timely topics in interstitial lung disease (ILD), such as the management of rural patients with ILD.

CHEST is collaborating with community organizations on Oʻahu to highlight and honor their grassroots work and public health impact within the community.
